When ordering from Gypsy Chai, you’re responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country.

The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of Australia may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.

Gypsy Chai is not responsible for any customs clearance or duties charges that may be imposed by your local authorities. Any product in powdered form may cause customs to quarantine an order or assess extra fees. All duties (if any) are payable by the customer and all customs clearances are the responsibility of the customer. Gypsy Chai will not be able to issue a refund based on duty charges or any additional fees imposed. Gypsy Chai has no control over these charges, nor can Gypsy Chai predict what they may be.

Customs offices in some countries may require the importer of record to provide identification before releasing the shipment.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. By placing an order with Gypsy Chai you agree to these provisions.

Australian delivery estimates

In general, same-city deliveries arrive overnight and deliveries to nearby cities within 2-3 days. Though very speedy, we do not currently offer an express or guaranteed overnight delivery service. These are estimates and we can’t guaranty exact timeframes.

Estimated delivery timeframe

The delivery time for international sends can vary depending on the destination; from 3-5 days for nearby countries and up to 14 days for countries further away. When a parcel is booked, we may provide an estimated delivery timeframe. This will give you an idea of how long parcels typically take to travel the route of your parcel. It’s important to know that this is not a guaranteed delivery date.

Please note that once a parcel has arrived in its destination country, the local postal authority for that country will deliver it, so the final delivery date will be subject to them

We use your email address when making your booking, and you will be sent tracking updates either by Gypsy Chai directly or on our behalf by our chosen courier service, which is an easy way of keeping you in the loop

International delivery options

The delivery options for international parcels will largely depend on what the postal provider for the destination country normally do. The two main options are:

Authority to leave: In some destination countries, the local postal service may leave the shipment at the recipient’s door if they deem the location to be safe.

Collection card: They may instead opt to leave a card if the receiver is not at the delivery address when they attempt to deliver. This card should have instructions as to when and where the parcel can be collected.
